A lot of people seems to be having an all too familiar problem with their iPhone 3G.
Cracks.
We’ve previously seen this on the Macbook and now we are starting to see it on the iPhone 3G as well. The problem can only be described as the appearance of hair-line (or quite drastic – as pictured) cracks in the plastic backing – and they apparently seem to come from no-where …
Reports are mainly coming in from owners of the white 16Gb model currently, although some black models are affected too.
- Is this due to the plastic Apple is using during manufacturing?
- A faulty batch?
Who knows.
After saying this, as you know, I also own a white 16GB model, and can see no signs of these cracks, just yet, thankfully.
