Music We Like: Part 1

Sometimes, there are songs which you just have to play, and play and play. Recently while browsing the store, I’ve come across hundreds of songs which I think should be played everywhere. Here are a few which are currently in heavy rotation in my iTunes library. Hopefully you’ll enjoy them just as much as I do …
I like a huge variety of music, from Dizzi Rascal’s ‘Dance Wiv Me’ [iTunes], to Madonna’s ‘Miles Away’ [iTunes], to The Subway’s ‘Roll and Roll Queen’ [iTunes] and even Keane’s ‘Spiraling’ [iTunes]. In this first part of ‘Music We Like’ I’d like to compile a list of some of the top tracks I’m currently listening to, as well as tell you a little about each. Every track featured can be downloaded through iTunes by following the link marked [iTunes].

Discolights [iTunes]
Ultrabeat Feat. Darren Styles – You know when some club music just turns out to be utter trash? – Well this completely rewrites that seemingly prominent rule for dance music. Darren Styles, a DJ and producer from Essex just brings sheer electronic love into this track. Featuring the stunning vocals of Mike Di Scala, it’s definitely club music to take note of.

Knickerbocker [iTunes]
Fujiya & Miyagi – From a band I had never heard of until last week, on first listen I wasn’t sure about this one, but on a second listen, I was hooked. The culmination of electronic beats, a consistent beat and repetitive lyrics, it’s definitely worth a listen.

The Man Who Can’t Be Moved [iTunes]
The Script
Before the Worst [iTunes]
The Script – I’ve always liked The Script. They’re just phenomenal. Laid back lyrical genius. The above two songs are just that, laid back, vocally strong and addictive.

Love is Noise [iTunes]
The Verve – What else is there to say? This is The Verve, and this what they do. Just buy the album, you’ll absolutely love it.

Wisdom [iTunes]
Gran Ronde – Upbeat, this track is phenomenal. An unusual set of wide ranging vocals gel together with the use of steady beats and drum machines. It may take a few listens, but it’s one that will grow on you.

Sweet Dreams (Hot Remix) [iTunes]
The Eurythmics – Ahhh … The Eurythmics, one of the best bands of the 80′s. Annie Lennox and David Stuart. Internationally known, this is Sweet Dreams – Take 2.

Let It Go [iTunes]
Tv Tv – Abit heavier and a bit more faster paced, guitar riffs and supremely energized vocals …

Take It Home [iTunes]
The White Tie Affair – A start up from Pure Volume, this five-some claiming to like ‘all types of music’ just like me and the rest of you, sure show it in their music. The amount of styles and sounds this band produces. Definitely check out this song, but after that, checkout all their songs …
Tune into Part 2 on September 30th
