Heads-Up: App Shopper by Arnold Kim

Posted on October 2nd, 2008. Written by Arron.

You may know Arnold Kim (Arn), but if you don’t he’s most notably responsible for running Mac Rumors.com – the very successful rumor-based site relating to all things Apple. Earlier this year, to our surprise, Kim announced he’d quit his job as a physician, with the intention to run and manage Mac Rumors full time. He’s now said to be focusing on other interesting, helpful web projects, one of which is App Shopper …

After MR came Touch Arcade. Your one stop shop for iPhone and iPod touch gaming reviews. Again successful, the site provides detailed gaming reviews and user opinions on new recent titles.

Yesterday, via Twitter, Kim announced a new project he’d been working on. Notably stating it is still in the beta stages, App Shopper will serve as the only place you need to visit to find exactly what’s new to the store, as well as view all free, and paid applications – and – view price increases and decreases respectively. I’ve already hit the site about 10 times in the last 24 hours (and it may actually be even more than that …).

With the App Store growing in size every day, and hundreds upon thousands of applications being added each month, it’s safe to say Arn’s new tool is going to serve to be extremely useful to all you App Store customers out there, for future months and years to come. With Apple also recently pulling it’s ‘Quick Search’ functionality off the App Store due to issues with release dates and developer abuse, App Shopper is welcomed with open arms.

Finally, a universal, non-taxing way to search the App Store quickly and easily.

That’s AppShopper.com

Arron

Hi, I'm Arron. I'm 20 and I am currently working as a freelance graphic designer and blogger. While managing RazorianFly, I currently also write for AppBoy.com, have previously written for 148Apps.com and have been approached by many others. I've been into graphic design for about 7 years now, and now offer iPhone and iPad Interface Design to developers professionally. Along with James, I also co-founded our brilliant new shortening service, RFly.Me. I'm very much tuned into both the App Store and Apple in general. I like the design, presentation and clarity of a product. If it doesn't cut it I'll tell you straight. I'm on Twitter, YouTube, Vimeo and Facebook!
