Apple has today sent the world’s media an e-mail shot inviting them to a ‘Media Event’ in San Francisco. The invite send out, pretty obviously suggests the event will reflect new revisions to all
(or a few) models of Apple’s current notebook line …
[Updatex2 21.35pm GMT] – It is now thought that Apple’s marketing shot above actually depicts a new product. BoingBoing, a fairly well known gadget and tech blog recently analyzed the mail shot, stating that although it’s ‘It’s hard to tell’ due to the dark marketing shot, when placing the Apple logo (said to be about 1.5 inches in width) across the image, it suggests a 13.3″ diagonal measurement.

Engadget posted the invite Apple sent out, which simply states:
“The spotlight turns to notebooks.”
If you remember, we recent heard Apple have adopted a new state-of-the art manufacturing technique, codenamed ‘The Brick‘ which by using water jets to cut through a solid surface, now allows Apple to create products which consist of one continuous piece of material. No gaps, no hinging.
The event is set to take place at 10AM PST, and is sure to be very interesting indeed. New Macbooks, or long awaited Macbook Pros, or both? We’ll be following this closely, more when we have it.
[Update 17.42pm GMT] – We seemed to have missed this (or at least I did), but “leaked” images have been flying around the net, some of which can be seen here.
