Apple holds it’s annual ‘Black Friday’ Sale [Briefly]

I know what your about to say; “Your a little late on this, right?” – and you’d be right. Unfortunately, for you guys here in the UK you have less than 40 minutes left to take advantage of this, but for others across the globe, the sale is still on-going. Of course, this is Apple’s Black Friday Sale, it happens once a year and involves Apple (for one day only) slashing it’s prices of most of it’s product lines …

This year saw a pretty decent discount applied to Apple’s Macbook Pro line of laptops. If you go Pro today, you can save a whopping £195/$300 off it’s retail price! The Pro wasn’t the only product to see cuts, with the sale extending through Apple’s entire current product line, including; the Macbook line which has a £65/$100 discount applied, and of course the world-renowned iPod line which is seeing a $20/£13 reduction.

Apple are also offering completely free delivery on all orders over £78/$120
Shop at Apple.com/store.

I decided to pick-up something I’ve been wanting for quite a while. The iPhone 3G dock, saving a small but worth it £2.57 off the usual £20 retail price.

Aswell as the online and retail stores, the App Store has seen a slurry of app discounts, as noted by Mac Rumors here. Some of these sales are not limited to just today – in fact, some are running for a whole week!

Ambrosia (Now $0.99): Mr. Sudoku, Mondo Solitaire, Aki Mahjong.
Igloo Games (Now $0.99): Dizzy Bee
Gameloft ($2 off): Diamond Twister, Brain Challenge, Backgammon Classics, Block Breaker Deluxe 2, Midnight Bowling,
EA ($2 off): SCRABBLE, Spore Origins, TETRIS
Pangea (Now $0.99): Cro-Mag Rally, Bugdom 2, Enigmo.
Free for Limited Time: Fastdial, 2079, Tangram Puzzle Pro, TapToDo, Pathways.
Others: Classics ($0.99), CameraBag ($0.99), BeejiveIM ($15.99->$9.99)

Has the Apple price slash tempted you to buy something today?

Hi, I'm Arron. I'm 20 and I am currently working as a freelance graphic designer and blogger. While managing RazorianFly, I currently also write for AppBoy.com, have previously written for 148Apps.com and have been approached by many others. I've been into graphic design for about 7 years now, and now offer iPhone and iPad Interface Design to developers professionally. Along with James, I also co-founded our brilliant new shortening service, RFly.Me. I'm very much tuned into both the App Store and Apple in general. I like the design, presentation and clarity of a product. If it doesn't cut it I'll tell you straight. I'm on Twitter, YouTube, Vimeo and Facebook!
