Anyone ever played the flash game Tanks or the extremely popular platform title Worms? , if you’ve played either of these, your gonna love iShoot. Multi-touch controls, a near-endless inventory of world-threatening weapons, for £1.79/$2.99. Hit the jump for our full look, and game play video …

[Update]
As noted by one of our readers ‘Pablo19′ iShoot has dropped in price to £1.79/$2.99. This is said to be a sale price to celebrate the release of 1.1.

See it in action:

‘Rule the World’ by Take That. ℗ 2007 Ploydor Ltd (UK).

iShoot is a game of tactics. Survival of the fittest. Each battle you can use how many players you wish to try and eliminate. Whether these be human players, or AI players is up to you. You can also input your tank’s name, and choose how many rounds you wish to play. Further into the game, you can buy from a huge list of major weaponry goodness, including all of this:

Sixgun $450, Mortar $500, Mega Mortar $1000, Dirt Ball $1000, Excavator $1100, Roller $2000, Stinger Missiles $2200, Shotgun $2300, Mini Cluster Bomb $2400, Claymore $2900, Giant Excavator $3200, Portable Mountain $5000, Cluster Bomb $5200, Hellfire Missiles $5500, Great Wall £6600, Meltdown $7700, Tactical Nuke $8000, Mega Roller $11000, Nuke $12000, Vulcan Cannon $21000, Doombringer $24000, Grand Slam $30000, Planet Buster $32000 and (if your lucky) this:

Shiva Bomb $189000.

Pretty obviously, the further you go up the scale, the bigger the power of the weapon becomes (also reflected by it’s virtual price), with the ultimate weapon you can buy being, the Shiva bomb. We’re not quite sure why the the pricing jumps from $32000 to $189000 – but there we go. The aim is to defeat your opponents. The more enemies you defeat, the more money you gain to buy more weapons next time round.

The scenery of the game is pretty good – retro – but done right. The worlds are easily navigable, and controls couldn’t be easier. Slide to aim, touch to fire, and touch and hold to determine the power of your shot.

It’s a great game, passes a few hours, and at £1.79 – it’s one of the better £1.79 apps.
