Exclusive: Tiltafun Heads to the App Store!

Posted on January 11th, 2009. Written by Arron.

We’re here to give you an exclusive sneak preview of a new game hitting the store shortly. It’s called Tiltafun and it’s the debut title from AppStore newcomer’s On The Rocks Productions. Coming from a community orientated mind-set, they stress Tiltafun has been designed entirely with the user in mind …

What is TiltaFun?
Controlling a candy monster via accelerometer, you will navigate your way around 10 worlds, each containing 5 unique levels. Your aim? – Munch up as much candy as you possibly can, while also trying to avoid deadly obstacles (such as walls).

Tiltafun is a simple, entertaining game for all age groups. Easy to play, yet difficult to master. With 10 worlds each containing 5 levels you can increase your skills and keep playing for a long time, before mastering the game.

See it in Action:

On The Rocks Productions are definitely a company to keep your eye, not only because they seem to be bringing a little fun to the platform, but also because their mind set is to get you involved in the actual development of their titles. You can suggest things likes what elements you think should be added to these games, or which your not sure of. They want your input. They want community projects, as opposed to closed beta phases.

This sense of you being in control is really assuring, and is also reflected within Tiltafun. On each of the 10 worlds you’ll play through, On The Rocks have given you the control of choosing which of the 5 levels you wish to play first. Something so simple, yet something which we think should be more widely adopted.

To add to the fun, Tiltafun also has a high-score system which is sure to keep you coming back for more, and more. Trippy visuals coupled with a great (non-irritating) soundtrack, and admittedly addictive nature, we’re sure Tiltafun going to be a big hit with the AppStore crowd. In fact, we’d be surprised if it wasn’t.

It’s set in stone that Tiltafun will be hitting on January 20th 2009, where we also expect we’ll have more info from the developers, about it’s App Store release, and it’s final retail price. Until then, this has been a brief insight into the upcoming game Tiltafun, for iPhone and iPod touch. Stay tuned. :D
