Part of the MTV network, on Thursday we received the head up from television channel Nickelodeon, on some of the latest iPhone apps they are bringing to the App Store.

The first-ever app themed to the Nickelodeon’s 23rd Annual Kids’ Choice Awards, airing today, will provide Nick fans with a new level of interactivity including live streams of the star-studded Orange Carpet arrivals, the backstage action of the Awards show, and the ability to cast their votes at the touch of a button.

The full list of new arrivals to join Nickelodeon’s full suite of apps, which (on a side note) have already generated almost 5 million downloads over the past year, include:

Nick Kids’ Choice Awards (FREE): The KCA app is finally here! It’s your VIP ticket to the craziest event of the year. Place your votes for Favorite TV Show, Movie & more, directly from your phone! Then get up close with the hottest celebs when we stream our Orange Carpet pre-show and our exclusive KCA Show cams, right into your hands.

A to Z with Moose and Zee ($1.99): The alphabet is here, from A to Zee! Join Moose and Zee on a puzzle-packed adventure with loads of letters. In this game, preschoolers search for letters hidden in exciting scenes like at the beach, on the street, and even in the deep seas! Moose will introduce your little letter-finder to the entire alphabet, capital and lowercase letters, in 26 different pictures. Get set for a stupendous time!

Diego Snowboard Rescue ($1.99): Diego snowboards down a snow-covered mountain to rescue baby animals that have lost their way. Tilt the device to guide Diego and perform tricks off of ramps along the way as you speed down the snowy slopes.

Sky Storm ($0.99): Got wings? Saddle up! Fly multiple aircraft, from C-130 gunships to F-22 stealth fighters. Fly awesome missions, including ground attack, naval operations, and, of course, dogfighting! Rule the Skies, Peeps. Did we say planes? How about fighter planes!

High School Cheerleader ($1.99): Want to make the squad? Show us what you’ve got! Give me an A! Give me a G! Aren’t you glad we didn’t ask you to spell out the whole thing? Do you have team spirit? Show it! Turn to the Left! Turn to the Right! Stand Up! Sit Down! Fight! Fight! Fight!

Nickelodeon, now in its 30th year, is considered by many the number-one entertainment brand for kids. It has built a diverse, global business by putting kids first in everything it does. The company includes television programming and production in the United States and around the world, plus consumer products online, recreation, books and even feature films.

Hi, I'm Arron. I'm 20 and I am currently working as a freelance graphic designer and blogger. While managing RazorianFly, I currently also write for AppBoy.com, have previously written for 148Apps.com and have been approached by many others. I've been into graphic design for about 7 years now, and now offer iPhone and iPad Interface Design to developers professionally. Along with James, I also co-founded our brilliant new shortening service, RFly.Me. I'm very much tuned into both the App Store and Apple in general. I like the design, presentation and clarity of a product. If it doesn't cut it I'll tell you straight. I'm on Twitter, YouTube, Vimeo and Facebook!
