Posted by Arron on 06 Jul 2010 @ 5:54 PM@TheNextWeb is today reporting Apple has published an official statement on the recent breaches which affected hundreds of iTunes accounts worldwide.
The event, which saw hundreds of customers accounts hacked and used to purchase hordes of worthless applications, happened on Sunday night, when a bunch of developers noticed something was up in the Book category.
As Apple has now pulled that developer and his applications however, it appears the company believes the problem is over …
… But that is far from the truth.
As The Next Web notes, they have been able to find yet another “app farm” designed specifically to con you out of your money. According to the site, these farm apps are charging people in excess of $600 to $1000, and as more and more customers try to warn other customers, they are being swapped by positive reviews from the developers themselves.
This is wrong Apple, and scary – Sort it.

The sooner they fix this, the sooner I can buy stuff again.
This is consistent with the hypothesis that the real atackers have released the code, or the stolen data, to script kiddies. Probably Apple was tracking them during the last month.
