Posted by Arron on 07 Jul 2010 @ 9:55 PM@CNET is today reporting after talks with Andrey Doronichev, product manager of YouTube Mobile, that the company is set to announce a new look for its official mobile site located at m.youtube.com this afternoon.
While the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad all have an actual @YouTube application built into iOS out of the box, YouTube’s mobile site kinda of acts like the middle man, allowing Twitter users to see content from other users tweets, without having to open the native application.
Today though, the company is set to announce a complete redesign to their official mobile site – and here is what it looks like (right).
According to Doronichev, the video giant’s new mobile website is completely compliant with HTML5 standards, providing a much faster browsing and navigation experience, with the company specifically stating the new design is more “touch-friendly” than the last.
The re-design is set to go live sometime this afternoon.
