Posted by Arron on 23 Jul 2010 @ 1:57 PMAfter announcing a delay of about a month a few weeks back, placing the release of the White iPhone 4 at the end of July, Apple has today announced a further delay on the product suggesting it may not hit until later this year.
Announced via an official press release, the company stated that the White version of the iPhone 4 has proven continually challenging to manufacture as opposed to the Black model, and states the device won’t be available for sale until “later this year“.
White models of Apple’s new iPhone® 4 have continued to be more challenging to manufacture than we originally expected, and as a result they will not be available until later this year. The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected.

On a related note, we recently reported on a rumor which came out of China recently, which suggested Apple may have delayed the release of the White iPhone 4 due to a fault in Lens Technology’s (the company who paints that sexy White front and back fascia onto iPhone 4) screen-printing department.
