Transform Your iPhone Into a Mario-Loving Games Console? There’s A Case For That! – [VIDEO]

Posted on July 26th, 2010. Written by Arron.

CP Design’s iPhone Game Pad, which is currently still in prototype, is a rather large slip-on case which turns your original iPhone into a Mario-hugging gaming console.

We say original iPhone because sadly currently that is the only model it supports. That said, according to the firm there are plans for an iPhone 3G and 3GS version, although no official word on if the device will make it to iPhone 4.

In short the case adds all the usual suspects, including a directional pad, X, Y, B and A control buttons and more. Currently there is no plan for mass manufacture of the case, but as noted by Engadget the guys over at CP Design, the people who created the concept for on the project, would love to hear from those who think they have what it takes to bring it to market.

Now, Who’s ready for some Mario?

Hi, I'm Arron. I'm 20 and I am currently working as a freelance graphic designer and blogger. While managing RazorianFly, I currently also write for AppBoy.com, have previously written for 148Apps.com and have been approached by many others. I've been into graphic design for about 7 years now, and now offer iPhone and iPad Interface Design to developers professionally. Along with James, I also co-founded our brilliant new shortening service, RFly.Me. I'm very much tuned into both the App Store and Apple in general. I like the design, presentation and clarity of a product. If it doesn't cut it I'll tell you straight. I'm on Twitter, YouTube, Vimeo and Facebook!

  1. too bad it doesn't work with iPhone4. I only have the most recent and cutting-edge technology. I threw my 3GS in the trash the day i got my iPhone4. it is the best. this case is already outdated.
