Plants Vs. Zombies Version 1.3 “Crash Fix” – Now Available for iPhone (and iPod touch)!

A few days ago, we gave you the heads up that something was wrong with the latest update (0.0.1) to the App Store hit Plants Vs. Zombies. After quite a few users rated the game 1 star we went to investigate.

The issue turned out to be that many users on both the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS were experiencing the game crashing both on initial launch and while in-game.

Just a few minutes ago though we got the heads up from one of our Twitter followers (@joostf1), who was keen to inform us @PopCap_Games had just issued an update to the game in the form of version 1.3.

The new update specifically fixes the crash-related bugs we previously reported on.

If you can’t yet find the new update on the store, it is probably propagating to your region as we speak. We’d love to know if this update fixes the crashing issues. Leave us a comment.

    My pvz was working fine until I upgraded to 1.3. Now it doesn’t even launch.

    Mine was working fine on 1.3 until I re-formatted and jailbroke with jailbreakme. It crashes when it loads like 5% of the grass during the loading screen.
