It has come to my attention that Apple have stopped their hall of shame on other smart phones. The once vibrantly filled antenna page on Apple’s website, filled with videos of not only the iPhone 4 and 3GS but other smart phones too, has been trimmed back and all videos have been taken offline.

It is common knowledge that the other smart phone companies were all displeased with the amount of negative coverage they were getting from this one site alone. The page detailed and videoed the fluctuation of reception on multiple devices, ranging from Motorola to Nokia, back to Samsung and then back to RIM. We saw that attenuation was and can be found in every smart phone and that no company has been able to control these fluctuations.

I was extremely disappointed in what Apple did, pointing the blame on the smart phone market, not actually owning up to what happens with their phones, but pointing Steve Job’s all powerful finger at other companies.

When heading to http://www.apple.com/antenna/ today, you’ll be greeted by a little excerpt, a few pictures of Apple’s antenna testing facilities and a few paragraphs discussing Apple’s understanding in reception loss and a few more details on the facilities that Apple use to test with.
