Posted by Arron on 31 Aug 2010 @ 6:00 PMAn interesting tidbit to come from Mac Rumors yesterday included claims that Apple may be prepping to increase the preview length of tracks previewed through the iTunes Music Store to 60 seconds, double the amount of time the current preview feature offers.
The claims come via CNET who reports that the plans are expected to be unveiled at the company’s press event, set to be held tomorrow evening at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Fransisco.
On Wednesday, when Apple CEO Steve Jobs takes the stage at the company’s annual September media event, he is expected to announce that iTunes users will be allowed at least twice the amount of time to sample a song, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the move.

When are they going to learn that if people want to hear the whole song they just go on YouTube? Make the previews full-length and 84kbps and just be done with it.
