Posted by Arron on 03 Sep 2010 @ 7:44 PMOn Wednesday of this week iTunes 10 was announced and to mark it’s introduction, the company decided to change the logo of the highly popular media consumption software of which it had been using for almost a decade on both Mac and Windows systems – and while most think it’s a step backwards, others disagree .. including Jobs himself.
According to WIRED Magazine, their reader Kopac provided them with the following e-mail exchange.
Steve,
Enjoyed the presentation today. But…this new iTunes logo really sucks. You’re taking 10+ years of instant product recognition and replacing it with an unknown. Let’s both cross our fingers on this…
To which Jobs reportedly replied:
We disagree.

I have to agree, this iTunes 10 logo stinks. Steve Jobs, although brilliant, seems to have an issue admitting mistakes (we all remember the antenna iPhone incident) . I'm willing to give them a pass this time in hopes that our outcries for a revision don't go unnoticed.
