Here’s the thing. Usually when you take out AppleCare on a product you get 1-year limited warranty and 90 days telephone support. If you purchase AppleCare as a plan, that is upped to 3 years standard warranty and 3 years of telephone support.
Now, if you ever wanted to transfer your purchased AppleCare plan to another product, the long and short of it is, if you didn’t own an iPhone – you couldn’t. Yesterday that policy changed.
BGR reports Apple has imposed new polices on AppleCare, which means you can now transfer your purchased AppleCare plan to any on your other Apple-purchased products, within a 30-day window.
