When TV show rentals were first announced as coming to iTunes, NBC was rumored to be joining in with the fun. Sadly the network dropped out claiming that it couldn’t reach an agreement which suited both the company and Apple.
Today however 9to5Mac claims to have uncovered a screenshot from within iTunes which suggests the company may now be gearing to launch $0.99 TV show rentals in the U.S.
The information comes from a screenshot we’ve discovered by digging around in iTunes. As you can see in the image above, the TV show listing for The Office has $0.99 rental buttons next to the usual $2.99 buy buttons.
