According to a new report by AFP, a number of “hacked” iTunes accounts are available to buy, some on sale for as low as a few dollars. The report claims the accounts (credit and debit details included) were being made available to purchase via Taobao, one of China’s largest online retail stores.
Taobao said in a statement to AFP on Thursday that the company took “all reasonable and necessary measures to protect the rights of consumers” and could not act unless it received a formal request to remove the ads.
