Despite Apple not even attending Mobile World Congress, which was arguably an Android-centric affair, this week, 9to5Mac today notes that the company was just awarded the award “Best Mobile Device” for the iPhone.
Overall, the iPhone won for, quote, a “Great screen”, and “sharp design”. Interestingly, judges on the panel also noted the device carried “fantastic materials”. Um, try telling that to this guy.
[via 9to5Mac]Even though Apple didn’t show up, the iPhone won the award handily. The Judges’ comments included, “Great screen, sharp design, fantastic materials, and phenomenal ecosystem for app developers. In a tight race, the iPhone 4 built on the success of its predecessors to set the pace for smart phones.”
