Safari Web Browsing Performance On iOS 4.3 vs iOS 4.2.1 – [VIDEO]

When Apple detailed iOS 4.3 on Wednesday, one of the first points Scott Forstall , Apple’s Senior Vice President Of iOS Software, made clear was that the new version of software includes enhanced Safari performance. Claiming to have taken the Nitro JavaScript Engine from Safari on the Mac and placed it on top of iOS, Forstall claimed that iOS 4.3 enables Safari on iPad (and iPhone) to run JavaScript up to “twice as fast”.

However, the guys over at iPadevice put it to the test with iOS 4.3 GM and the results are pretty interesting. Yes, iOS 4.3 can load JavaScript that little bit faster – but only a few seconds faster than Safari on iOS 4.2.1.
