As we just found out ourselves by trying to legally import and having to cancel, the shipping estimate on iPad 2 has now moved to 2-3 weeks. To give you some detail on this, this means that Apple now expects a wait of 2-3 weeks for new models of both the Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi & 3G models, to ship from their production plants in China.

Could this be an early sign that Apple will be forced to delay the UK and other international launches?

This is only for people who order now, right? I ordered this morning and it said 3-5 days. I hope mine doesn’t take 3 weeks.
Hey Matthew. Thanks for the comment. Yes, this applied only to those people who ordered at the time this post was written. The estimate is now even worse, at 3-4 weeks: http://www.razorianfly.com/2011/03/12/ipad-2-estimated-shipping-time-slips-to-3-4-weeks-in-u-s/
