One feature of iOS 5 which suffered a particularly big glossing over last week was that of Apple’s iTunes Tones Store. New in iOS 5, the soon-to-be-available store will provide users with the ability to purchase and download specific tones for both e-mail and SMS, (we’re guessing this will also work with Messages), alerts on either their iPhone, iPod touch or iPad.

While the store is yet to be activated, iOS 5 (Beta 1) does point to it being available with the launch of iOS 5, with the beta carrying a button entitled “Buy More Tones” under its Sounds menu.
So, for those of you who have been waiting for an option to customize your e-mail and SMS experience beyond those built-in Apple provided stock tones, you guys will likely love this feature.
Yet another reason not to jailbreak?
