In preparation for iCloud‘s debut later this year and following the news of Apple snapping up the rights to AirDrop For Mac OS X Lion, PatentlyApple is reporting that Apple has officially filed for rights to the words “Photo Stream” in Canada.
Filed under application number 1530567 at offices of law firm Baker & Mackenzie in Toronto, Photo Stream is a little piece of magic set to ship with iOS 5 this fall, which will allow you to keep all your photos in sync across all your owned iOS devices, automatically via the cloud.
[via iPhoneInCanada]The application didn’t list any priority filing information which may indicate that the Canadian filing will act as such going forward. Time will tell.
