Just confirmed over Twitter, Tapbots has announced that its popular iOS Twitter client Tweetbot will gain support for push notifications in its next update, expected to be published to the store “in a few days or so”.
In reply to Twitter user @NotoriousUSB who asked about timescales of the feature becoming available, the official account for the client, @Tweetbot, tweeted:
@NotoriousUSB Lets just say I have push notifications working on my device right now. We’ll post an update in a few days or so.
We’ll be sure to let you know when the update hits the store.

[Update 2] – @tapbot_paul has confirmed that what was actually meant by “update” was that of a blog post.
