With speculation surrounding the launch of the iPhone 5 at fever-pitch, yet another mockup of what the device might look like has today surfaced.
Created by Italian studio Ciccarese Design and depicted as available in both White and Black, the device is pictured featuring an edge-to-edge display complete with a brushed aluminium tapered body design, which mirrors that of Apple’s ultra-thin, super-light MacBook Air.
Two more renders after the break!
We have to admit that this is one of the better mockups we’ve seen of the iPhone 5 and we’re definitely digging that tapered tear-drop outer body look. But this isn’t the first time we’ve seen a design for the next-generation iPhone like this.
In fact, back in April, ThisIsMyNext ran a report showing renders that also claimed that Apple’s next-generation iPhone would feature an edge-to-edge display as well as boasting a tapered, teardrop outer body design.
Our sources say the new model (or at least one of the new designs in testing) looks “more like the iPod touch than the iPhone 4.” The phone will be thinner than the iPhone 4, and may have a “teardrop” shape which goes from thick to thin (something along the lines of the MacBook Air profile).
The question is — Would you want iPhone 5 to look similar to the above?[via iPhoneItalia]
