Apple’s Market Cap Surpasses Exxon, Now The World’s Most Valuable Company

They did it.

Following a near miss out on market capitalization against market leader ExxonMobil yesterday, Apple has today closed with a market cap which exceeds Exxon by $6.4 BillIon.

According to Yahoo Finance, AAPL closed the day with a market cap of 337.17 Billion, while XOM closed at 330.77B, officially making Apple the World’s Most Valuable Company and arriving as the first step to that staggering $1 Trillion valuation.

We think @ArnoldKim nails it:

Apple most valuable company. Step #1 in dystopian sci-fi future, where Apple infiltrates every aspect of our society.
