Following that not-so-convincing screencast of Apple.com showing what was claimed to be iPhone 5 just a few days ago, iSpazio today highlights yet another result of rising iPhone 5 speculation mania, with the first “iPhone 5″ unboxing having hit the internet.
Of course, this unboxing isn’t real.
Or is it? – Originally posted by ZAGG.com, the site offers up the following shots of the device. Featuring a more rounded profile, (which to note, doesn’t appear to be tapered), the claimed device is shown in Black with no retail or storage markings on its rear.
We’ll leave the rest of the detective work up to you guys!

This is laughable. It’s obviously 100% fake.
Let’s observe:
1: 00:26 — Image is misaligned
2: 00:26 — Ends are not the same color as the sides
3: 00:47 — When the glare passes over the device, you can tell that there is no front-facing camera
4: 01:21 — No LED Flash
5: 01:21 — No rim around camera lens
6: 01:21 — Next to the dock connector, you can still see the silver rim, this is obviously just an iPod touch 3G with a stick-on wrap.
7: 01:25 — Same aesthetic as iPod touch 3G
8: Entire video — Man is stuttering and acting nervously
The iPhone 5 rumors are getting so stupid.

This sounds silly but the letter spacing on the box sides is too much, apple uses a much more condensed myriad pro typeface. Also, the screen glare on the front of the box is on the wrong side and still doesn’t look very good. The screen looks the same size anyways. On the first picture on this post, if you look around the camera and the dock connector and generally bottom of the device, it is CLEARLY an iPod touch with a case. Awful :-/
Also, on the top picture of this post, the volume buttons and possibly the receiver and front facing camera look like they’ve been photoshopped on? very blurry…
@itsbassman The device in the first photograph is just an iPhone 3GS, not the same device as used in the video. Regardless, it’s a fake.
