Launched today, Codify by Two Lives Left is a new application designed exclusively for iPad, which aims to help software developers and engineers take their desktop coding environment with them on the move.
Featuring a complete vector graphic and image renderer for seeing your projects come to life as you code them, example projects to help you build the foundations of your next project, and a bunch of sound effects for possible inclusion, Codify is a welcome offering in this often highly-specialized area, with a neat and navigable user interface.

Offering up reference documentation in-line, which is accessible by tapping the custom-placed “eye” button above the app’s on-screen keyboard, Codify allows you to tap, drag and shape your idea into existence. Built on a solid foundation itself, using the Lua programming language as its base, Codify strips back your on-the-move coding experience to rely less on symbols, and more on how and where you plan to arrange them.
