The acclaimed authorised biography of late Apple Chairman, Steve Jobs, written by Walter Isaacson has reportedly sold a staggering 379,000 copies in its first week of availability. The book topped the best-sellers list in both the U.S and UK, pipping John Grisham’s The Litigators, (which sits in second), and outselling the book by a ratio of three copies to every one.
Despite being on sale for just six days in the US, Steve Jobs: The Exclusive Biography is already the 18th bestselling book of the year. It sits one place ahead of John Grisham’s The Confession (Dell) and one place behind Rick Riordan’s The Son of Neptune (Hyperion) in the year-to-date BookScan US bestseller list.
Becoming the 18th-placed best-selling book of this year, ‘Steve Jobs By Walter Isaacson’ is currently sitting in third on Amazon’s best-sellers list and is expected to make top spot before the holidays are out.[via MacRumors]
