Reeder 1.5.4: Removes Sharing (with Google Reader), Notes, Friend Following

Silvio Rizzi has today pushed out Reeder 1.5.4. The new update to the Google Reader client removes all sharing with the service, as well noting functionality and friend following. The reason for the removal of the aforementioned features arrives in sync with Google’s recent refresh to its Reader service, which were detailed on the firm’s Official Google Blog, earlier this year.

As a result of the changes pushed out to Google Reader, Rizzi notes that Sharing (with Google Reader), Notes and Friend Following will no longer work and have therefore been removed from the popular client.

Changelog

With the recent update to Google Reader, the following features are not available anymore:

- Sharing (with Google Reader)
- Notes
- Following friends

Available for download from the iTunes App Store, Reeder 1.5.4 weighs in at 3.0 MB and has been designed specifically for iPad. Reeder is also available for both iPhone and iPod touch.
