It’s Friday – and you know what that means! – It’s time for us to offer up yet another list of awesome iOS applications we think you just can’t afford to miss out on this week. The purpose of ‘New, Notable and Dropped’ is simple. We want to inform you of the hottest, must-have applications which may have hit the App Store over the past 7-days.

KHET – ($3.99)

It’s the game that combines lasers with classic strategy. Players alternate turns moving Egyptian-themed pieces having two, one or no mirrored surfaces. All four types of pieces (pharaoh, anubis, pyramid and scarab) can either move one square forward, back, left, right, or diagonal, or stay in the same square and rotate by a quarter twist. Each turn ends by firing the real laser diode built into each player’s Sphinx piece. The laser beam bounces from mirror to mirror; if the beam strikes a non-mirrored surface on any piece, it is immediately removed from play. The ultimate goal is to illuminate your opponent’s pharaoh, while shielding yours from harm!

Zuma Revenge Pro – ($3.99)

This game has three modes, adventure mode and challenge mode, multiplayer mode.
- Adventure mode: There are 78 scenes. As the scenes set forth, it will be harder and harder, with quicker move of bobble and more attacks.
- Challenge mode: 16 maps is optional. Within 100 times attacks, bobbles will roll faster and faster, so it is up to you to see how far you can hold on to it. Automatically records the highest score. So try to get the summit in history.
- Multiplayer mode: On iOS 4.1 and later, you can invite friends or play with other players randomly. Up to 4 players can play together.

Paper Monsters – ($0.99)

Dive into the world of Paper Monsters and watch a living world made out of paper, cardboard, and a few cotton balls unfold right before your eyes.
Paper Monsters takes all of the classic 2d platforming elements, combines them with cutting edge graphics and then packs it onto your iPhone or iPad.
