According to this photo left by an anonymous source in our tip box overnight, Apple’s third-generation iPad will indeed have a “Retina” display. While the source who provided the photo to us didn’t share any further information on what resolution we might expect come Apple’s official announcement in several hours time, RazorianFly has strong reason to believe the tablet will carry a resolution of 2048 x 1536, as previously rumored.
[Update] – Whilst we still personally believe the iPad 3 will feature a “Retina” display, it appears the image above may have been sent to a number of sites overnight – (including RazorianFly) – and @Chronic has confirmed that the image is, in fact, “fake”.
