If you happened to be taking advantage of any aspect of Apple’s iCloud service last night, you may have run into a few issues. After a rather large thread over on Apple Discussions sprung up full of users complaining that they were unable to download content they had both already purchased and were about to purchase, our friends at TheNextWeb picked up on the story.
Claiming that they had contacted Apple for a response to the outage – (an issue which returned the error: “this item cannot be downloaded on this network”) – the site reports a support operator noted that, (as far as they knew), the error was been generated by Apple’s iCloud service or the servers in which iCloud is ran off, and that “there was currently no ETA for a fix.”
Similar reports from users also flooded in, with one user reporting:
I just spoke with Apple Support, they are currently having a problem, they don’t know what is causing it. It seems to be on all platforms and the problem only occurs when your try to download anything over 15mb. They do not have a ETA yet for when this problems gets resolved…
Have you had issues with downloading content from iCloud in the last several hours?
