If you’ve been wondering what addictive experience Rovio might have up its sleeve next to follow their – now widely successful – Angry Birds mobile game franchise — wonder no more.
Following the recent acquisition of App Store title Casey’s Contraptions, Rovio’s own CEO, Mikael Hed, earlier today told Finnish TV channel YLE.FI that the firm is currently working to refine the previously-available title, with the end goal being to re-introduce the game in an effort to capture a new audience.
To be re-branded Amazing Alex, the game will focus on a curious young boy who “loves to build things.”
The “gameplay is a perfect fit in our arsenal with its approachable, fun and highly addictive take on the physics puzzler genre,” Hed noted, adding: “We are currently reworking the title to enhance it, and getting ready to re-introduce it in a true ‘expect the unexpected’ Rovio style launch to an even larger audience.”
Amazing Alex is expected to make its iTunes App Store debut within the next 60-days. We’ll be on hand to give you the heads up once it becomes available. In the meantime, though, we suggest (if you haven’t already) that you check out Angry Birds on the App Store, today!
