Receiving its second update this year, the official iPhone app of The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has this week been bumped to version 2.0, bringing with it an entirely new user interface, ‘Featured’ content, live weather forecasts from space, and more …
The application, designed to keep you in the loop of all things NASA, now includes both ‘News’ and ‘Featured Stories’ sections making it even easier to find the content that you’re looking for.
Also new in this version is the addition of a ‘Programs’ section, which has been specifically designed to give you the entire lowdown on the latest space exploration programs and other scientific projects that NASA is either running itself, or is funding.
Anything you do find which captures you’re attention you can now save for later reading thanks to the client’s new ‘Favorite Items’ and ‘Bookmark’ features. This complements NASA 2.0‘s perhaps most-notable feature which will now allow you to print what you see wirelessly from your iPhone, using AirPrint.
For all those space explorators out there – (or those simply interested in seeing what NASA has been up to over the past several months) – NASA 2.0 (4.9 MB) is a FREE download from the iTunes App Store, carrying support for both iPhone and iPod touch, natively.
