Announced via the official @AppStore Twitter account yesterday afternoon, Apple this week pulled the wraps off two new weekly promotions on its iTunes App Store.
‘Editors’ Choice’ – (which replaces the store’s previous “Staff Favorites” section) – has been designed to feature the applications Apple’s critical editors consider worthy of a mention, and will be aimed at highlighting the very best in iOS offerings.
Meanwhile, Apple’s new ‘Free App of the Week’ will join ‘Free Single of the Week’ on the iTunes Music Store and offer up one application – FREE of charge – to iTunes customers on a weekly basis.
Kicking off with this week’s Editors Choice selection, Apple is now featuring Facebook Camera and Extreme Skater for iPhone, also featuring SketchBook Ink and Air Mail for iPad.
‘Editors Choice’ also extends to the Mac App Store, with the firm currently featuring both Cobook and Deus Ex: Human Revolution as the section’s first hot picks, reports The Verge.
