Considered a rather minor update to the OS (in terms of new functionality), iOS 6 (Beta 2) seeded to developers earlier tonight includes a few more interesting tweaks, which go far beyond that new animated ‘Settings’ icon we detailed here.
Outing Twitter‘s new branding even before the company itself has had a chance, Apple’s seeding of iOS 6 (Beta 2) tonight replaced Twitter’s (now iconic) bird, for a slightly-modified version — a change which now reverberates throughout the entire OS.
As noted by @matthewmspace, Apple in this build of the OS has also tweaked Siri’s ‘tweet sheet’ (above), set to be available to those users running iOS 6 and looking to be able to tweet directly from within Siri’s own interface.
Also pretty notable in this build is a new toggle which resides under the OS’s ‘Use Cellular Data For’ menu. The toggle option now allows users to choose whether or not they wish to sync their Safari ‘Reading List’ over a 3G connection.
- Smart Banners are now functioning in this build.
- Guided Access is now working on both iPhone and iPad.
