Ouch.
Following Cook’s official public apology regarding Apple’s new ‘Maps’ service earlier today, the Cupertino, CA, company has this afternoon launched a new dedicated section on its iOS App Store called “Find Maps For Your iPhone.”
The new store section highlights a number of alternative maps offerings users can both download and take advantage of, while the company refines its own maps offering to the exacting standards expected from its customers.
Maps apps highlighted by the new section (in the UK), include:
Waze Social GPS, FoveverMap, NAVIGON Europe, AA Satnav UK, Garmin UK & Ireland and Bing Get MeThere.
