In a new mailshot sent to developers of the ADC tonight, Apple announced that iTunes Connect – (the central, developer-accessible system which controls both the pricing and availability of applications on the iTunes Store) – will tomorrow under-go a scheduled maintenance period.
Specifically, developers are told that they will be unable to schedule pricing changes to their apps between 12PM and 7PM (Pacific), with their apps also becoming unavailable to download during this period.
“During this time, iTunes Connect will still be available,” the company writes, “however, pricing changes made, or scheduled to go live, between 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. (Pacific) will not be reflected on the App Store and your app will become unavailable for purchase for the duration of the maintenance period.”
Apple notes that once this scheduled maintenance is over, your app will become available for download again. However, to avoid interruptions to the availability of your apps, the company recommends that you do not make any app price changes during this time.
