In what marks the latest ruling in the ‘AppSung’ lawsuit, a court in the Netherlands has this week ruled in Apple’s favour in its ongoing battle against market rival Samsung, banning all Galaxy products from Dutch selves that “infringe on an patent describing a way to scroll through a photo gallery using a touchscreen.”
This means that products which “use Samsung’s proprietary photo gallery software” are essentially now classed as being in infringement of the named patent, and thus Samsung must remove these products from Dutch shelves – effective immediately.
For every day it doesn’t, Apple will receive $120,000.
