Briefly: Initial 27-Inch iMac Orders Now Expected To Begin Arriving, December 13


Despite online estimates moving to reflect that the product would only begin shipping this January, reports from some of the first customers receiving shipment notifications for Apple’s high-end, 27-inch all-in-one now suggest the two models could be set to land on doorsteps around the world, starting December 13.

The new models are shown as shipping directly from Apple’s production facility in Shanghai, China, unlike the two lower-end 21.5-inch models of Apple’s razor-thin iMac, which are now thought to be assembled in Fremont, CA.

During his first televised interview with NBC News last week, Apple CEO, Tim Cook, revealed that Apple will – (for the first time ever) – move production of at least one Mac product line back to the United States. This, Cook highlighted, is an effort Apple has been working to realize “for years.”
