Hon Hai Sources: 46-55” Apple Television Currently In Testing, Unlikely To Launch Next Year

Last week, you may remember we relayed a report via respected publication The Wall Street Journal in which the paper’s sources claimed Apple is now thought to be testing different designs for a “large-screen, high resolution TV.”

Following this earlier report, and ultimately adding further fuel to the speculation surrounding Apple’s possible entrance into the television market, 9to5Mac today relays a separate report by FocusTaiwan, in which the publication cites sources within Hon Hai Precision Industry Company(also known as Foxconn) – as claiming the rumors are true, and Apple is indeed currently in the prcoess of testing designs for its future 46-55” television set.

Despite analysts originally believing that this set could make its public debut sometime next year, however, the same sources reportedly noted that – (given the stage at which Apple’s testing is currently thought to be at) – a 2013 launch of the product is ‘highly unlikely.’
