Last week, a report surfaced claiming that the super-yacht now late Apple CEO and Chairman, Steve Jobs, had commissioned world-renown contemporary designer, Philippe Starck, to design had been “impounded” due to an alleged half-payment which hadn’t reached the necessary account in order for the deal to go through successfully.
Long story short, Starck has now been paid … and thus Jobs’ yacht -slash- floating office building is now free to roam the seven seas once more.
“The Venus is not under arrest ” , said Gérard Moussault, the Dutch lawyer acting on behalf of the heirs of the Apple founder was quoted as saying. “A solution has been found and a guarantee has been deposited in a bank account so that the boat can leave,” Mr. Moussault concluded, notably refusing to specify the amount of the guarantee.
