Marking a deal you really shouldn’t miss out on this weekend, Rodeo Games just temporarily dropped the price of its iPhone and iPad space-themed RPG, Hunters: Episode One, seeeing the strategy game become FREE on both platforms for a short period of time.
In a world where bounty hunters and contracts rule, Hunters: Episode One is the first installment of the studio’s real-time strategy role-playing game in which players aim to build a team of heartless mercenaries, in a continued effort to become the most renowned “Bounty Hunters” in the Galaxy.
Rooted in turn-based strategy, Hunters: Episode One involves you learning to develop your own unique tactics, deciding which is the best play for the various situations you may find yourself in. Every 24-hours you’ll receive a set of contracts direct to the bridge of your own spaceship — contracts which you’ll then have a total of 24 (real-time) hours to complete.
With its richly detailed environments and ability to customize members of your mercenary clan with super-powerful space weapons and strong armour before even entering the main game, your punctually-delivered contract objectives will likely keep you busy for the most part.
In the event the time comes that you can’t upgrade your strength, you’ll at that point find yourself having to trade the items you have collected as you attempt to buy bigger, more powerful weapons, stronger armor, and better equipment. Because the game is based in real-time, it’s worth noting that new stock of these items is only available every 60-minutes.
Note: In game credits – (which allow you to upgrade and buy new items) – can be purchased in-app for as little as $1.29, maxing out at $17.99.
UPDATE: Hunters 2 Drops In Price, Too!
