Perhaps one of the more interesting facts that came out of Apple’s fiscal Q1, 2013 earnings call yesterday, was that the company is currently thought to be selling its iOS devices at a rate of 10 every second.
That’s right. The good folk at TUAW highlight this afternoon that Apple’s reported 47.8 Million iPhones sold during the first quarter of 2013 roughly equates to the firm managing to shift 6 units of the smartphone per second.
And the iPad? – Well, those are thought to be selling at a rate of 3 per second, based on Apple’s posted figure of 22.9 Million units sold during the quarter.
Did we mention those figures exclude sales of Apple’s iPod touch? – No wonder iOS continues to lead as the top-selling smartphone platform in the U.S.
