Citing the game has been “completely overhauled” for running on Apple’s OS X operating system, Aspyr Media (Borderlands, COD: Black Ops, Civilization V, etc.), this week re-released its classic galactic adventure title ‘Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy’ on Apple’s Mac App Store.
According to a statement the company provided to our friends at 9to5Mac, the re-release is warranted given the significant improvements which have been made to the title’s core gameplay.
We’ve completely overhauled the game, fixing tons of old bugs and ensuring the titles works on the latest hardware and OS. We think the game holds up great even to today’s standards…I mean, who doesn’t like a good old fashioned lightsaber battle?
Starting today, fans can get their hands on the Star Wars classic title from both the Mac App Store ($9.99), as well as being able to purchase the game in digital download format on Steam and Aspyr’s official online store.
