‘North Korea’ Gets More Detailed On Google Maps, Result Of “Years” Of Citizen Data Collection.

Just a very quick note on Google this morning — The Washington Post reports that Google has this week updated its Google Maps service to include dramatically more detailed maps of North Korea.

Due to the country’s strict laws and regimes, however, this data could not be sourced by Google itself, and is instead said to have been the result of “years” of data collection from “citizen cartographers.”

Those reading via RSS will want to visit the site directly to see the maps in question
