Revealing the official name of the iOS jailbreak method at the end of last month, Pod2g, Planetbeing, MuscleNerd, and Pimskeks – (or the “Evad3rs,” as the group will be known going forward), will reportedly release their long-awaited, ‘untethered’ iOS 6.1 jailbreak – later today.
The method was expected to go live on Sunday, but it appears there was a slight setback. The official website for the jailbreak method, (which has been tracking the progress of the team’s development over the past week), currently reads: “98%: Final testing and preparation. Come back soon!”
Once live, you’ll need an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad, running iOS 6.0 through 6.1 in order to perform the “5-minute” install. You can find out more today, at evasi0n.com.
