For the first-time since the game’s original debut on the App Store, Rovio has this week dropped both Angry Birds and Angry Birds HD from their usual asking prices of $4.99 and $0.99, with both titles now available for download for FREE.
The price drop arrives as part of Apple’s weekly ‘App of the Week’ iTunes store promotion, which offers store customers the ability to download an app for both iPhone (and iPad), absolutely FREE – every single week.
Now known by mobile gamers of all ages across the globe, Angry Birds is officially the most-successful mobile game in history, which is kind of ironic, when you consider that Rovio itself was reportedly on the edge of declaring its bankruptcy before the bird-slinging adventure entered the minds of the company’s creative team.
The offer is expected to end this Wednesday. So, don’t delay!
